I bask, softened, hopeful and assured by your constance and brilliance Never a day without you, though faint on some You are there heating my soul, While clouds thick and furious bundle past You burn hotter and hotter warning me to take cover Impossible to heed and protected by love, I shine on unburnt My heart no longer chilled, but fired and expectant I follow your path, red striped dawn to painted cloud dusk A flower bending from east to west catching the light pure and loving Lush greens and rosy pinks promise fruit for the harvest You are my moon, predictable but ever changing Your hot self deflected, tempered for mortals Sometimes full, heavy, yellow and barely able to climb Pregnant with possibilities of hope and love Sometimes wreathed in rainbows brilliant in clouds Sometimes spherical reflected bright in sunlit blue Sometimes an iridescent thread in a starry sky Your mysteries cause me to lay down my work I gaze longingly, bathed in your light Unbounded desire longing for new life The siren song of my soul says: Heed Me! I need to be born I observe and wonder at your light bountiful and freely given Generosity has its own rewards as does love I know you, yet your mysteries elude my understanding If I were not mortal bound by my body and life I would be Cassiopeia resplendent, with you night and day Orion the Hunter watching, Sirius the Dog guarding While the Sun and the Moon and Cassiopeia Dance in the heavens forever |

| What’s New? I hiked my 33rd Adirondack High Peak last weekend: "Big Slide" The hike and vistas were spectacular--8 more trips to finish my "46R" A big THANK YOU to Elizabeth! The newest 46R-- She inspires me with her energy and enthusiasm everyday! All photos are available matted and framed in larger sizes. |
